The current main goal of the Archbishopric of Olomouc is to restore the historic site and preserve these exceptional spaces, which are currently in a state of disrepair. Since the discovery, the Archbishopric of Olomouc, in cooperation with a number of specialists, has carried out mineralogical analysis, archival and art historical research, radiographic analysis of the stucco decorations, structural analysis of the grottos, preliminary restoration surveys, climate monitoring, dehumidification of the premises, and 3D scanning in high resolution, which was provided by the company G4D.
Follow-up surveys and restoration works are currently underway and will continue for several years. Such a demanding process will require the involvement of foreign experts and the securing of funding.
